DESCRIPTION
The TSM-1000A and the TSM-2800, re-multiplex MPEG-2 transport streams to enhance bandwidth efficiency and increase revenue opportunities. The eight-input TSM-2800, a Broadcast Engineering Pick Hit for 2003, creates a single multiplexed MPEG-2 output stream to support stream grooming, stream re-branding, opportunistic data insertion, and PSIP insertion applications. It supports MPEG, ATSC and DVB, and can be licensed in 2,4,6, or 8 input port configurations. This 2800 platform can also be licensed as a TSS (Transport Stream Switch) which adds transport stream switching to the multiplexing features of the TSM. The TSM-1000A is a three input multiplexer that supports two redundant opportunistic data channels.
