OVERVIEW
Logic Innovations' EAR-1300 Emergency Edge Server is a set-top form-factor appliance enabling both the distribution and display of alerts received over satellite and terrestrial networks. |

DESCRIPTION
The EAR-1300 supports CAP (Common Alerting Protocol) as ratified by the OASIS standards group. CAP is an open, non-proprietary standard data interchange format that can be used to collect, describe and disseminate all types of hazard warnings and reports locally, regionally and nationally, for input into a wide range of information-management and warning dissemination systems.
The EAR-1300 connects directly to a DTV antenna or Satellite feed. Emergency messages are received and displayed on an attached monitor. Messages can be routed via FTP, HTTP, Multicast and other methods over an attached network to 3rd party application servers. An embedded GIS (Geographic Information Systems) server renders a zoomable map of the event vicinity. |
